Red Sand Project

The Red Sand Project has been scheduled for July 5, the time of the Friday Art Walk (5:00 pm). This will be a great advocacy event. Members not familiar with the Red Sand Project should google it at redsandproject.org/about/

We will have a small table and red sand packets/info set up outside Clay Paper Scissors Gallery, 1513 Carey Avenue as well as outside of Beach Please, 200 E. 17th Street.  We expect this will be a good date and venue for traffic.

The Red Sand Project seeks to raise public awareness and engagement by filling the sidewalk cracks with red sand, symbolizing individuals who fall through the cracks of our social, economic, and political systems or the cracks of our personal consciousness.
